The Rural Housing Service indicated that “the selection was made by a panel of experts in affordable multi-family housing from industry and government earlier in the year and represents their belief that Ms. Hunt is an excellent example of how to provide rural elderly residents with a place to live that they are proud to call home, while at the same time effectively operating the property from a business prospective.” Ms. Hunt was selected from among 58 entries nationwide. Ms. Hunt had previously been selected in late 1998 as Manager of the Year for the three state region of Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Connecticut. The RHS selection was based upon the high degree of satisfaction and enthusiasm conveyed by the residents, the attractiveness of the property’s building and grounds, and the extent of service provided to the residents of the Pine Oaks community. Ms. Hunt was selected once again for this award in 2000. | 
Kathy Hurlburt, Site Manager for Pigeon Cove Ledges, was selected by the Rural Housing Service in 2001 as Manager of the Year for the three state region of Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Connecticut. | Kate Franco, Director of Property Management, was selected by the New England Affordable Housing Management Association (NEAHMA) as the Professional of the Year for 2000. She was also selected by the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) Boston Metropolitan Chapter #4 as Accredited Resident Manager of the Year for 2001.
Kate is currently serving as as President of the New England Chapter of IREM. | 
Pine Oaks Village (Phases I and II) was selected by the New England Affordable Housing Management Association (NEAHMA) as the recipient of its Community of Quality-Exemplary Elderly Project Award for 2001. | Inter-Church Council Elderly Housing was selected by the New England Affordable Housing Management Association (NEAHMA) as the recipient of its Community of Quality Exemplary Elderly Project Award for 2002.
